ZAPPA: Methinks you're the type of guy that my saintly mother told me not to play with as I was growing up. WINK. (OK, T.P. has NOT yet 'grown up'). SIGH.

HEY! I just wish someone would 'invent' an HONEST Politician.

NOW, THAT, would be SOME invention!!

Keep on ZAPPIN', my friend ....

My best to you and yours,

Funny thing is I do not think they start dishonest. I think they want to help and make things right. Maybe D.C. is inherently and evil place, like in that Pet Cemetary book. Just going near there turns you into a blood sucking, brain eating, oil drinking, pedophilia sympathizing, bathroom grazing, page chasing, money stealing, taxpayer abusing, Nazi, Commie, Fascist, insider trading, wife swapping, intern-doing, murder loving, booger picking, Wiener, that tells people that they live an immoral lifestyle.

ZAPPA: Hello, again. I think most politicos USED to come to D.C. that way?

In recent times, however, the PARTY MACHINE takes only those who go in LOCK STEP UNISON with them .... Leaves out MANY GOOD folks with HONEST intentions unless they're self-made millionaires who can finance their own campaigns. Even at that, they most often fail, cuz' the PARTY MACHINE gets out the VOTE.

I still watch the old, Jimmy Stewart, MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON. It's a CLASSIC to ME.

Sadly, I cannot even comprehend or envision such ONE politician doing what he did in congress!! ???? SIGH.

Keep on ZAPPIN', my friend ....

My best to you and yours,

TallPockets.

PLEASE READ WARNING LABEL in this week's OVERHEARD and SEEN.
This is NOT a JOKE, although it still feels like one to me.
I can't believe that Walmart or any other company can sell us a food service product with lead in it
simply by putting a warning label on the cord that says WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

PLEASE CHECK YOUR OWN HOMES.
Check your children's toys and rooms first.
Check your kitchens and bathrooms next.

You don't really know me but you can take it to the bank that I want you and your children to BE SAFE.

What are the health effects of lead poisoning?
The National Safety Council says:
There are many different health effects associated with elevated blood lead levels. Young children under the age of six are especially vulnerable to lead's harmful health effects, because their brains and central nervous system are still being formed.

For them, even very low levels of exposure can result in:
reduced IQ
learning disabilities
attention deficit disorders
behavioral problems
stunted growth
impaired hearing
kidney damage

At high levels of exposure, a child may become:
mentally retarded
fall into a coma
and even die

Within the last ten years, children have died from lead poisoning in New Hampshire and in Alabama. Lead poisoning has also been associated with juvenile delinquency and criminal behavior.

In adults, lead can:
increase blood pressure
cause fertility problems
nerve disorders
muscle and joint pain
irritability
memory or concentration problems

It takes a significantly greater level of exposure to lead for adults than it does for kids to sustain adverse health effects.

TAKE CARE OF YOU and YOUR FAMILY.
Please pass this along to your friends and family.
