The ticker-tape parade is invented in New York City when office workers spontaneously throw ticker tape into the streets as the Statue of Liberty is dedicated. It was actually invented by Iris Goldfaddski, as she was throwing garbage at her cheating husband. Also, it must be noted that shortly after the dedication Americans started forgetting who gave us the Statue of Liberty.
